Most injuries to the mouth should be treated by a dentist as soon as possible.

What do we do?

We do our very best to ensure emergencies are seen promptly

Dental emergencies can often be painful. Prompt treatment is almost always required to alleviate pain and to ensure your teeth have the best possible outcome.

Sometimes teeth become fractured by trauma, grinding, or biting on hard objects. In other cases, fillings or crowns can be damaged.

If there is severe pain or trauma, contact Kew Dental on (03) 9817 3685 and we will prioritise your problem and endeavour to look after you in the best possible way. The pain caused by dental emergencies almost always gets worse without treatment and dental issues can also have an impact on your physical health.

There are simple precautions to help prevent certain injuries to the teeth. When participating in sports or recreational activities, always wear a custom-made mouthguard that is designed and fitted by a dentist.

For emergencies outside of opening hours please contact the The Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne on 03 9341 1000.
